Folks in London are setting up raves for the deaf. I can't help but smile at the idea, but at the same time I think it's pretty cool. (Exclusive, though: I wonder how safe it'd be for a hearing person to attend, what with the ludicrously high SPLs involved.)

Last time I saw the Dresden Dolls they did Half Jack (audio available on this page for the curious) with two women doing a wonderful combination of sign language as interpretive dance to the song. I'd love to see other groups experiment with this.

I'm glad they thought of the lighting conditions- as for how safe it is- well ear plugs would be advisiable to avoid any damage [shrug] but otherwise sounds like fun. (though communication would be dificult alot of the time unless you can sign.)
