Huzzah for snowblowers (and, apparently, my ability to put them together such that they work). I mean, I know I'll have to go out and do that all again tomorrow morning, since the snow is still coming down, but it's comforting to know that the blower actually functions as advertised.

Anti-Huzzah for the design of the hood on my winter jacket, which, when worn, snuggles down so tightly that it pulls my spectacles down my face. This appears to me to be a Bad Thing, so I (cleverly) decided not to wear the hood while clearing the driveway and front steps. Unfortunately, I (somewhat less cleverly) neglected to remove the hood from the jacket completely. This resulted in its filling up with snow while I worked and then, at a key moment, flipping over in the wind to deposit said snow on my head. Let me tell you, when you're a bald man, you feel that. :-)
