First listen through the new Bowie album. The word that comes to mind is "inoffensive." I was hoping for something a little stronger...

Mm. Anything particularly stick out for you?

"Never Grow Old" is, I predict, the single.

I liked the stuff on the extra CD.

Nothing too much, yet: "Bring Me The Disco King" might be a keeper, but I'll need a while to see how it holds up. And I sorta like "The Loneliest Guy," but I think only 'cos it reminds me of "Slip Away" from Heathen (same sort of frail/damaged vocals).

I also think it'd be a stronger album without the two cover versions.

Oh, and: I think this is my least favourite Bowie album cover art *evar*. Which means I like it even less than the art for Never Let Me Down. Which is saying something.

I wonder if Reality would improve for me if I listened to hours... and Heathen right before it. It does sorta seem to fit with those two...
