|02:41 pm - How much are tickets to Denmark?|
This summer's Roskilde Festival has Bowie and Wire playing, as well as The Pixies, Santana, Korn, and about a billion bands I've never heard of.
Probably not worth the trip for only two bands (I'm still not sure about The Pixies as a reformed entity), but a tempting thought, anyway.
I'm most likely going to the Pixies show out here in April. I'll let you know how I feel about it.
If you're looking for a shorter trip for the Pixies, though, they're playing Coachella this year in Indio, CA. Sadly, no Bowie and no Wire, although Kraftwerk will be there, if you're into Kraut noise. ;)

Very compelling lineup... I particularly liked the band descriptions, which came off as a kind of "Danglish" (I was looking at the Danish version of the site, which was the default).
i.e. PIXIES (US): Stilskabende cocktail af punk, indie guitarrock, klassisk pop og surf
Blackalicious and N.E.R.D are both pretty good rap groups. I own an album of the former and a couple mp3s of the latter. Quite good.
Sahara Hotnights are a chick punk-ish rock band...also quite good.
Looks like a great lineup. I wonder if folks there are as assholey as folks who attend big concerts like this in the states.
I've been to Copenhagen and to Helsingor, both of which are definitely worth visiting.
Haven't been to Roskilde, though (and seriously, probably not going: it's expensive enough going to Europe once a year).
