|10:00 pm - Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.|
Something extremely... uh... special, I guess, would be the right word here... showed up in the post today, courtesy of my loving sister...
Back cover text:
I threw it in, but only managed a minute or two – it's even worse than I remember, and honestly, I didn't remember it being good – before stumbling away from the TV with blood gushing from my retinas and ears. (kviri, frozencapybara... I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to, uh, share this experience with you, but I only noticed it sitting in the post-box as you were leaving. Um. Poor you. Or, rather...)
So. What exactly does one do for bleeding retinas and ears? :-)
Is there a decent version of it out there? The last copy I saw was an ancient postage-stamp-sized movie file that managed to fit 30 minutes into 5 or 6 meg...
The DVD I got is wavery but watchable on my 65" screen, so I guess "yes, sorta" is the answer to your question. (And no, I haven't any idea where my sister found it, so I can't point you at the link.)

D00d! I so need to see that. I need to experience the horror of it myself.
"You can't understand the power of the Dark Side, my son..."
Oh, I understand it now, George. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggaaaahhhhhd.
You can come over and watch this if you want, but... it may seriously get the all-future-showings-of-Salò treatment (i.e., I set the player going and then have to leave the room for my own sanity).
(Incidentally, this show is older than you are... and considerably less worthwhile.)

Heh, can I borrow that from you sometime so I can inflict torture upon myself?
