What can I say? It's been a slow news day. :-)

(Anyway, they're good brownies, and there're an awful lot of them left over. And if I die of a surfeit of brownies... well, there are worse ways to go than replete and happy.)

Yeah, I hear that... unfortunately for me I left my leftover brownies at Ren & Joe's :(

I thought perhaps "leftover brownie" had become a euphemism for something...else.

Why ever would you think that? You know what a literal, plain-spoken fellow I am. :-)

Man. I so parsed this as "leftover proto-girl-scout". Both times you posted it.

I need a new brain.

Yeah, there tend not to be many of those left over. Not after I've been through them, anyway.

No, no: I was a Cub Scout at one point, but I never became a Boy Scout ("...when he eats his first Brownie," yadda yadda).

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with your brain: mine mis-parses things all the time, and it's one of my major sources of entertainment.
