09:02 am - Bastards. Neither my Mum nor my sister (nor my sister's boyfriend) were near any of the bombs that went off in London today; they're fine. I don't know about all their friends, though...
The whole thing is pretty horrible, but of course Londoners take bombings more or less in stride – and I did, too, when I lived there. Today, though, from 3,000 miles away, I feel sort of shattered.
Edit: Thanks to everyone who's e-mailed or commented for the sympathy and support. I feel a bit less shattered now.

I'm glad to hear that family is safe!
As a nation, I think we are equipped with the right kind of resolve to carry on regardless.
We do tend not to come to a grinding standstill.
Unless it snows. I'm glad they're well. *hugs* Very glad to hear you and yours are fine and again that perspective thing shifts when I compare my anxiety to those who actually have F/family at risk. And I was taken with the 'at the moment' vs. 'forever'- you're very correct on this point. Glad to hear that your family is safe. *hugs* Very glad to hear that your family's safe. *hugs* Glad they're OK. *hug* And glad that you're feeling a bit better.
*whew* I'm so glad they're okay. I thought of them, and of you, as soon as I heard the news this morning. *hugs* I am very glad to hear they are okay. I hope their friends are all okay as well. It is a horrible thing and saddens me that there are such sick people in this world. The rest of us have to support each other when the sick people do things like this.
*HUGS* |
