Just watched Black Sunday, the 1976 movie based on Thomas Harris' first novel. Not a bad flick at all, really: very faithful to the source, with some good acting (Bruce Dern as a nutbag: who'd have ever thunk it?) and nice taut low-key direction from John Frankenheimer in full-on Manchurian Candidate mode.
I have to say, though, that Robert Shaw goes right up there with Charlton Heston on the "not entirely convincing as an Israeli" list. :-)
